Anak Rimba Books was created by Abyan and Farah, who wanted to enact creative content that focuses on endangered animals in Asia. Through their books, they aim to give endangered Asian animals centre stage and cultivate nature-loving children who will be more aware of the environment and universal values, such as kindness and respect for our animal friends. They believe that by telling stories about nature, we can bring more awareness to help our planet and the animals that inhabit it.

Abyan was born in Kuala Lumpur and worked as a graphic designer and art director in advertising. She has always loved animals and children’s books. Farah was also born in Kuala Lumpur and left the corporate world to be a mum to her two children and explore creative outlets. She believes that we can be the change we want to be in this world.
